America truly is the land of the free, and the home of the brave.  We have freedoms in this country that many others do not have.  Our heritage, our freedom, and the luxuries that we enjoy were all purchased and preserved by the lives of millions of soldiers over the past two centuries.
Though you are free in this country, did you know that you have NO freedom without Jesus Christ?  Did you know that the lives of all the soldiers in this world could not purchase the freedom that Jesus Christ purchased for you on the cross of Calvary? Please read through the following verses taken from the Bible that give us God's simple plan of salvation.

God's Simple Plan of Salvation

1. First, recognize the fact that you are in need of Christ's salvation.  "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)."   Literally, the word "sin" means, "missing the mark." God's righteous law is the "mark," and none are capable of "hitting the mark." We have all broken parts of that law at one time or another. The reason we have broken God's law is because we inherited a sin nature, being part of the human family. "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalms 51:5)."

2. Along with the sin nature, we also inherited the curse for sin that was placed upon Adam. "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned (Romans 5:12)." There are three types of death referred to in the bible. Fist, there is physical death. Although Adam was created to live eternally, the curse of physical death was passed upon him because of sin. Second, there is spiritual death. That part of Adam that had the capacity to know, love and commune with God died as a result of sin. Third, there is eternal death: eternal separation from God in the place called "hell." Because we inherited Adam's sin nature, we also inherited the full curse of death brought on by sin.

3. The Word of God tells us that we deserved and earned that curse called death, but that God longed to give us eternal life freely through His Son, Jesus Christ. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23)."

4. This gift of eternal life is possible because of Christ's great love for us and His willingness to take our curse on the Cross of Calvary. "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree....(Galatians 3:13)."  "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)."

5. Finally, if you will place your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and call upon Him, you will be saved. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:9, 13)."
